Joshua Sandler is the very proud owner of Sandler Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and is the founder of The Neuro Hub. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Witwatersrand and then went on to complete his Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy in 2015.
He has a special interest in working with people with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and functional neurological disorders.
Amy Morgan graduated in 2014 with her BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Witwatersrand. She completed her Basic Bobath course in 2016 and then went on to further her studies at Wits University. She completed her MSc Physiotherapy in adult neurology in 2020.
Amy is passionate about neuro rehabilitation and loves working with all neurological conditions. She strives to have a positive impact on the lives of all her clients.
Stacey Kieser graduated in 2013 from the University of Witwatersrand. She loves all areas of neurological rehabilitation however her area of expertise and passion lies in the field of spinal cord injuries. She has 7 years experience working in a specialised spinal cord injury rehabilitation unit. Her knowledge and vast experience in this field is an asset to have at our practice.
Steph graduated with a BSc (Physiotherapy) from UCT in 2012. After completing her community service, she worked in general private practice until finding her passion for neuro-rehabilitation in 2016. Steph worked in a neuro-rehabilitation facility in Johannesburg for 7 years before joining The Neuro Hub in 2023. Having completed the LSVT BIG certification, Steph has a special interest in treating people with Parkinson’s Disease. She has also completed her training in vestibular rehabilitation. Steph loves working with people and enjoys helping them see their potential, reach their goals and improve their quality of life.
Cleo graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2014. She found her passion for neurology when she began working in a rehabilitation hospital in Johannesburg in 2016, and gained experience in working with people with stroke, traumatic and acquired brain injury, and spinal cord injury. She completed her Basic Bobath training in 2019. She gained further experience in neuro-oncology and medical neurology while working at another neuro-rehabilitation practice from 2020 until she joined Sandler Physiotherapy and the Neuro Hub in October 2023. Cleo completed her MSc in Physiotherapy (neurology) in 2024.
In addition to doing physiotherapy, Cleo is a qualified yoga teacher, and has been developing her interest in merging the two disciplines through teaching adaptive yoga to people with neurological conditions since 2021. Cleo believes in using the principles of yoga, such as body awareness, breathing and mindfulness, for a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Cleo loves using both yoga and physiotherapy to influence the complex biomechanical and neurological aspects of the body.
Nicola Garden graduated from Wits university in 2016. Since graduating, her area of passion has been working in adult neuro rehabilitation in both upper limb and cognitive rehabilitation. Before starting her own practice she gained experience working in adult neuro rehabilitation in both inpatient and out-patient settings. Nicola has completed her Bobath training and has received post graduate training in cognitive rehabilitation and return to driving. Nicola is currently enrolled in the Hand to Shoulder Fellowship (AAOT). She has a passion for assisting clients with regaining independence and enabling them in participating in activities which are important to them.

Cindy van Wyk is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with a dual registration in both Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. She completed her Masters in Psychology (R.D.) at the University of Johannesburg in 2011 with cum laude, and completed her M.A. Neuropsychology at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013. She has a long-held passion for understanding the intricate neural underpinnings of human behaviour and has a special interest in acquired brain injury and neurological illness including stroke, epilepsy, genetic disorders, and traumatic brain injury.

She qualified in 2011 from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal with a Bachelors degree in Communication Pathology, and then went on to graduate cum laude for a Masters degree in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), at the University of Pretoria in 2015. Over the last 10 years, Kim has gained a wealth of experience from the various contexts in which she’s worked, she thrives on challenges that grow and stretch her, and she derives a sense of purpose from building alongside with others towards a bigger dream. She believes that team work is imperative within the allied health field and loves helping people function as independently as possible after experiencing an unexpected setback in life.

She completed her community service year at Far East Rand Hospital, gaining invaluable experience working with diverse communication and swallowing disorders.
Her journey into speech therapy began in 2018 when she witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of therapy on her father’s recovery. This experience ignited a deep passion for helping others overcome their communication challenges and improve their quality of life.
Gina van Heerden is the co-owner of Coetzee & van Heerden Biokineticists. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2017 and has worked in Bryanston since. She has focused her career on neurological rehabilitation, geriatric health and wellness, as well as hydrotherapy. She loves working in a multidisciplinary setting, is an extrovert and loves socializing.
